Yearbook Pages

Each year, we like to put together a yearbook. It gives the students a chance to show off their creativity. The kids have a great time putting them together. We get to know kids that we might not have spent as much time with during the year. The yearbook becomes a treasured keepsake both for the family and for the students themselves. It is a great resource for showing family, friends and curious onlookers how neat and varied our homeschooled students are.

Guidelines

If you have family pictures or pictures taken at activities, we can use them, too. Please write your name on the back of each photo. Put pictures of group events in an envelope, labeled with the name of the activity to assist with assembly. If it is important that certain pictures are not cut, indicate clearly on the back of the photo. The yearbook comittee will try very hard to honor your request. It is best, however, to send copies of pictures rather than your originals. We accept photos on disc, too (make sure your name is on the disc so we can return it). Bring these photos with your yearbook pages to the January meeting.

If we have the pages in to Maureen by the January meeting, she will be able to determine if the pages copy well. In the case where a page does not copy well, she will have time to return them to the original artists for revision. The revised pages will then be resubmitted at the February meeting.

Early March, the yearbook comittee will meet to assemble the books. If you want to be on the yearbook committee, you must be at least 12 years old. Contact Maureen if you want to be on the committee. Assembly location to be announced.

Ordered copies of the books will be delivered in May. Usually, the students like to have their friends sign their books at the May activity.
